This time last week I was in Sweden visiting some friends that I met travelling. I feel so lucky to have had an authentic Swedish experience in this beautiful European country and I would urge anyone to pay it a visit. Here are just a few of the reasons why.

Breath Taking Views
Take a trip into the city or go out into the countryside and you will see views that will take your breath away. Some of my favourite views there were those within the forests, made up of beautifully tall and green fir trees.

Environmentally Friendly
It's a lovely thing to see the clean streets and thought that is given to rubbish in Sweden, as the population have a respect for Mother Nature and everything she gives to us. And if you're feeling too lazy to do your own recycling? You can pay someone else a tiny fortune do it for you.

Clean Air
Each breath of fresh air that you breathe will make your lungs feel refreshed and opened. From someone who lives in London I've noticed how beautifully clean the Swedish air is since coming home and being greeted with the smell of pollution.

Friendly People
There seems to be a great community spirit across Sweden and people are willing to help strangers for no other reason than to simply help. It restores your faith in humanity a little.

The Great Outdoors
There are plenty of things to do outside in Sweden, such as take a boat trip out of the port or go hiking in one of the many, vast woods. Within in a very short time you will feel reunited with nature once more.

Fika
We all love eating cake and the Swedish have a tradition of "fika" which is traditionally a tasty cinnamon bun with a strong coffee. The Swedish coffee that accompanies the yummy cake has a deliciously rich and nutty aroma too.
​
Stylish Architecture
Amongst a lot of the plush countryside sit lovely farm houses made from deep, rich, red wood which is the traditional housing material in Sweden. As well as that beautiful brick and stone buildings can be seen within the city areas, especially in Stockholm’s old town.
​
Chocolate
Swedish and well-priced brand Marabou comes all in a variety of different delicious flavours. I don’t really have to say much more.
